Hello,

My name is Bill Hawthorne, and I represent maacenter.org, a leading web resource for asbestos exposure and mesothelioma cancer information. Our organization is dedicated to increasing awareness of the terrible health consequences of asbestos exposure through the distribution of the best informational materials and public outreach efforts.

I found your site through a search and decided to contact you because of its high environmental and green presence which is extremely important in our movement. Your viewers are extremely savvy and motivated. The promotion of how buildings should now be built using sustainable green products to avoid asbestos and mesothelioma as well as the awareness of past buildings and preventative steps in avoiding asbestos exposure are extremely important. My goal is to get a resource link on your site/blog or even to provide a guest posting to be placed.

I look forward to hearing from you. Please feel free to check out our website. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Bill
bhawthorne@maacenter.org

Love the cross-channel marketing approach you mention here!

This would be a great approach for building an email list as well.

Collect customer emails in the store, and follow up with online promotions/offline events.

This is a great series of articles, Phila. I'm planning on showing it to a client.

BTW, minor cross posting is perfectly o.k.. A lot of the blog networks do it. It's only if you're posting your content in 100s of places will it actually start to look like spamming. Think about it as press releases. You want wide distribution of your press release, right? Same applies for blog posts.

I really enjoy reading your blog, it always has great insight. But I am very frustrated with the fact that so few people are talking about presidential candidates and their thoughts on global warming. Now that it is down to just a few candidates I would think that this would be a bigger issue.

Live Earth just picked up this topic and put out an article ( http://www.liveearth.org/news.php ) live earth is also asking why the presidential candidates are not being solicited for their stance on the issue of the climate change. I just saw a poll on www.EarthLab.com that says people care a lot about what their next leader thinks of global warming. Does anyone know of another poll or other results about this subject?

Here is the page where I saw the EarthLab poll: http://www.earthlab.com/life.aspx. This is a pretty legit website; they are endorsed by Al Gore and the alliance for climate protection and they have a carbon footprint calculator. Does anyone have a strong opinion about this like I do? No matter what your political affiliation is or who you vote for this is an important issue for our environment, our economy and for homeland security.

Check out swaptree.com too. This is a site where you swap your old books, dvds, cds, and video games with others for the cost of postage issued right at your computer. You just make a list of what you want to trade and what you wish list is and the swaptree does all the rest. You can trade books for cds if you want. It does not need to be a trade with the same media.

No cutting down trees, throwing out dvds, and reducing dust in your house! This is a great site. Check it out. anna www.green-talk.com
